Hi there,
I am a Dana Street resident and would like to comment on our parking district.
We have been working for a very long time to get this district completed and I understand covid19
has changed things significantly, but we were told to purchase permits in May and nothing was
being enforced. I met with Alex Fuchs and Gavin Hussey along with a few neighbors in October 2020
to figure out what was going on. We had a good meeting and hope you will listen to our comments
and their recommendations.
I fully support including Dana Street Multi-family Properties in the Dana Street Parking District. I have
supported this since day 1. We thought they would be included. Please allow the people who live on
our street to park here as opposed to people working downtown, the mobile home units with no
parking vehicles, etc. etc..
We have been working with the City for a long long time trying to get this parking district set up. I have
been to many meetings and neighbor meetups. We live on a street that is STILL parked on for entire
work shifts by people who do not live here. We would really appreciate this district being finalized,
completed, and thoroughly monitored.We have been working since I believe 2017. Please let our
district be pushed through and given priority.
Please remove the 2 hour overlay completely. It has not been monitored and the city has informed us it
isn't feasible to be monitored every 2 hours. We originally added that to be nice to downtown people.
If it cannot be monitored and actually enforced, I'd prefer we did NOT have it at all. We pay to park
here and all those people do not. It does not make sense. I'd rather have parking available near my
home instead of being nice. Multiple neighbors I have met with and talked to would like the 2 hour
overlay removed as well. I hope they sent some comments in.
