Subject:Dana St Parking District
Dear City Council,
My name is Matt Mortenson and I am a property manager for San Luis Property Management. I manage a 16 unit
apartment complex located at 421 Dana St here in SLO. On behalf of my clients, the owners of 421 Dana St, and the
tenants that reside at the property, I support the inclusion of all Dana St Multi-family Properties in the Dana St Parking
District. Due to parking lot space restrictions, our tenants that reside in the 2bd apartments (12 out of the 16 units on
the property) only have one assigned parking space and rely on street parking for overflow. Being excluded from being a
parking permit recipient would create a hardship for our tenants, possibly making it necessary to have to park on a
different street and then walk a quarter of a mile to get to their apartment.
