Can you all please put fiscal responsibility at the top of the list? Take care of things that need taking care of… • Not on unnecessary raises, especially when so many are suffering. They should be ashamed. • Not bike lanes to nowhere, when the bulk of tax-paying citizens use cars. • Not on road restructuring that makes no sense. (Johnson/Laurel/Augusta and now Dalidio). I’m sure there are more. • Not on art on the ground that will be covered in dirt and tire tracks in no time, and may even cause accidents when someone sees a person’s shape out of the corner of their eye then swerves to miss them causing an accident. • Not on a high-budget, over-designed homeless shelter that isn’t big enough to serve the needs of the population… could have been a lot simpler to serve a lot more. • Not on all new street signs that no one can read and that fade within a couple of years. • Not on big signs that say “We’re all in this together.” Because it’s clear that we’re not. • … and the list goes on. Please consider the masses who live here and don’t make over $200k a year. Who did NOT vote for the 1% tax raise. Whose property taxes go up like clockwork, even though our incomes do not. I’m fed up… just like a lot of other people. 1
