When I discovered there was a plan for a new police station, I was quiet shocked. I see many people hurting and financial resources should be allocated to support them. - Homelessness Situation - Economic Recovery - Diversity and Equality It is deeply saddened to see how the homeless population is increasing exponentially. Let's not forget eviction protections are going to be lifted by the end of this month and many people are at risk of becoming homeless. We must plan for a way to get them get back on their feet. How can they get jobs without an address? Do they have a mental disorder or drug addiction? If so, what services can they get to get this issues controlled? Many people are unemployed due to the pandemic and many other reasons. What is the budget allocated to help those families? Many families are at risk of not being to get food on the table, which will bring more and more issues in the community. Racism and discrimination are still ongoing issues that affect our community. What budget is it going to be allocated to create programs to educate, protect and increase the overall equality? Please focus on the issues affecting the less privileged population. By lifting them up, we are lifting the whole city and surroundings up. Sincerely, Edgar Cholewa-Cardona 1
