Subject:Preserving our Open Spaces and Nature Reserves
Greetings City Council Members and Mayor Harmon,
I urge you to make preserving our open spaces and nature reserves in SLO a priority during your budget discussions.
There has been no greater refuge for me in my time as a SLO city resident these last 3 years, transitioning from
pregnancy to life with a colicky newborn to this pandemic.
I've always found great peace and relief in traversing the many trails of SLO county and I know so many others that feel
the same way. Our open spaces and nature reserves are one of the most vital aspects of what make SLO the wonderful
place it is to live. I haven't even mentioned the enormous environmental benefits, of which I am sure you are already
well-acquainted.
Please vote for the well being of all living things in SLO and prioritize Slo Open Space and Nature Reserves in your budget
planning process.
