I am a former chair of what was then called the SLO Bicycle Advisory Board, and this project fits perfectly into the plan we developed to extend the Railroad Safety Trail from Cal Poly to Tank Farm Road, and hopefully even beyond someday. It is a critical link to get more commuters in this rapidly growing neighborhood out of their cars and onto their bikes. I live near Sinsheimer Park and know the extension would also be heavily used by walkers and children.
