Subject:N Broad Street Community Garden -- 1/27/21 meeting
To whom it may concern:
I previously wrote requesting our shared garden be kept as it is if the Board votes to approved the N. Broad
"Park". I hope you have that request and will consider when designing the plan if it does go through.
At this time I would also like to state opposition to the plan as being too dangerous with the ramp that
currently exists to HWY 101. It is already like a race track on and off the ramp and if children, pets, strollers
etc are present, it could really be disastrous. Also, it's already slightly scary sharing the garden area with the
homeless that live all through the creek beds and back in the trees but once it gets converted it should really
be awful having the contaminants that everyone throws around on a regular basis threatening childrens
health and wellbeing. I frequently call SLO Parks to pick up the trash that piles up.
So with that all said, this voter votes NO on the park and YES on leaving my garden plot that I share as it exists,
happily providing salad, vegetables and flowers year 'round. Thank you for your careful attention to this
whole matter.
Sincerely,
Stacey A. Stack
