Subject:Feb 2 Agenda Item #11 Mitchell Park Pickleball Courts
I would like to add my support to the construction of new pickleball courts at Mitchell Park or anywhere in the City of
San Luis Obispo. I have been playing the game for around 2 years now and have seen such a tremendous increase in
players. The age groups go far beyond just seniors. The sport of pickleball is lots of fun with a minimal cost for an
activity. The court maintenance is less than landscaping and requires much less care. No water is required, except for
the times when they may need cleaning. I see it as a good use for public funds. Thank you for your consideration
