After reading the staff report I was pleased to see that many good comments have been incorporated into an already world class plan. Considering the enormous amount of planning and public outreach over the last two years, I believe this diamond is as polished as it's going to get. With unanimous recommendations from the Active Transportation Committee and the Planning Commission it is time to make this plan official so that the city can hold new developments accountable for their fair share in implementing this plan. My family downsized to a single car in 2019, striving to make most of our in town trips by biking and walking. We are raising our two children to prefer biking and walking as methods of transportation to their schools, parks, and other destinations. Implementing the Tier 1 projects layed out in this plan will be crucial to supporting our efforts, and many other community members, in getting out of their cars to commute safely by biking and walking. Thank you for everything that you do and once again, I encourage you to adopt the ATP without major revisions. I'm looking forward to seeing these Tier 1 projects considered in the FY21-23 budget cycle so that we can start to see real progress in support of active transportation in our city.
