Hello ATC Committee,
I am a resident of the Windermere condo complex at 1106 Oceanaire Drive and also a member of our Homeowners
Association's Board of Directors. I'm writing in regards to the proposed plan to install a dedicated bicycle lane along the
Windermere side of Oceanaire between Los Osos Valley Road and Galleon Way. One of our Board members alerted us
that the City Council will be considering the ATC plan at their meeting tomorrow that includes removing parking spaces
along the Windermere side of Oceanaire Drive, which provides parking space for our visitors, contractors and residents.
Was a notice sent to all the homeowners along that portion of Oceanaire Drive? If so, I certainly did not receive one. Our
complex has 49 units. Each unit has a single-car gsrage and one assiged parking space within the complex. Many of our
units have multiple occupants which requires them to park the units additional vehicles along Oceanaire Drive. Also,
various contractors (building, painting, etc.) park along Oceanaire Drive because many of our visitor spaces are already
occupied by either visitors, contractors and residants.
So you can understand that parking within our complex is already a challenge and removing any parking along Oceanaire
Drive will certainly make it much worse! Is there an alternative to this plan such as continuing the existing Ped/Bike-wide
sidewalk along LOVR around along Oceanaire or maybe it would be best, in my opinion, to leave things unchanged.
Please reconsider!
Thanks!
