I live off Oceanaire Dr and the loss of parking between Galleon and LOVR on EITHER side of the street will severely impact us. Many folks who live in my apartment complex have multiple cars and park those on the street. Without those parking spots we will have to park three or four blocks away severely impacting our daily routines. Additionally, this will increase likelihood of car break-ins and catalytic converter burglaries in the area since our cars will be out of sight. There is enough space for bicyclists without a designated bike lane. Additionally there is a bike lane already in LOVR. Consider revamping the bike lane on Madonna or paint Oceanaire with “share the road” to reduce impact to my neighbors and I. Additionally, when Cal Poly is in session normally, there is NO available parking at night on our street as it is. Regards, Mattie Bliss Begin forwarded message: From: "Jay L. Hi Windermere Residents, Tonight the SLO City Council will be considering the removal of all the parking spaces along the Windermere side of Oceanaire Drive between LOVR and Galleon Way to construct a dedicated bike lane. I believe this would severely impact our community especially our residents, visitors and contractors who park their vehicles along Oceanaire Drive. Please send your objection to the city council as soon as possible (comments due before 3pm today). Their email address is: emailcouncil@slocity.org Thanks! Jay 1
