Dear Council Members,
I wrote the email below on January 5, 2021 in response to the planned park. I was trying to be polite with my words but I
won’t mince them any longer. This is a totally stupid, dangerous place to put a park. Can you imagine parking? Look at
how impacted the neighborhood gets at lunch time from the Lincoln Deli. Can you imaging a parent taking a toddler by
the hand onto an on-ramp to the freeway to go to a playground? Yes, it’s land owned by the city and the money
allocated must be used by some date but let the money go back into the general fund! We have the Anholm Park and
small as it is, I’ve never seen it crowded. From my observation of walking the neighborhood almost everyday, there are
not that many children who actually live in the vicinity. We DO NOT NEED another park.
Please use the money set aside for a better use. There are plenty of wonderful parks and places where people can go for
space close to this area.

answer to whether or not the Broad St. on-ramp to the south, will be closed. Could you please supply that answer?

> Another thought regarding this development is re-installing speed bumps. There are bumps in place on upper Broad,
Foothill to Mission St. and then they have been taken out. At one time, they did exist further down the street (to my
knowledge) and that is really the area where it gets even more necessary to slow traffic. At my corner of Center and
Broad, people blow through the stop sign regularly.
>
> I personally think the location of a new park is a poor choice but I understand it since the city already owns the land.
>
> Thank you for the information regarding the park and your response, if you will.
