It is designed as kick-off to guide funded organizations though the grant requirements, inform them of the promotional services for granted events and connect them with the administrative team that will support them through the grant year. Date: Tuesday, August 13, 2019 Time: 4:30-6:00 pm Location: Conference room at the City/County Library 995 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo Who Should Attend: Representative(s) from the organization who is responsible for administering the grant requirements including positions related to marketing or promoting the event Who Will Be There: City’s Tourism Team, Chamber representatives for promotional services, Parks & Recreation representative(?), Office of Sustainability representative, members of the PCC Topics: Grant process (contract, payment, final report), Promotional Support Services (Chamber), SLO Happenings & Ticket Tuesday, Event Permit Process for City facility, Sustainable Practices for Events Agenda: 4:20-4:30 Organization Arrival & Sign In 4:30 Molly – kick off the presentation, review grant checklist, final report requirements, PCC Liaisons, and who’s who on the team 4:45 Keri – review Promotional Support Services for funded events, provide deadlines and outline of things the events need to supply to the chamber with general guidelines/timeframes 4:55 Chantal- SLO Happenings & Ticket Tuesday 5:00 Dave- Permitting for special events 5:05 Q+A 5:15 Special Presentation from Chris – Tips for making your event sustainable, city requirements (plastics, bike valet, etc), suggestions or resources even if your event is off city property 5:30 Molly - Wrap Up & Breakout for Individual Q+A
