Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Permits and the cost of enforcing permits is a silly silly plan. The only time there’s lots of people at CSL after dark is 2 times a year, when the Christmas Tree goes up and the Cross for Easter. And it’s majority private property. Why does the city even care if people are using the city provided parking lot and the 25% of the trail on city property? When the vast majority of people are going to the summit on private land. Just make the hours open to 9 or 10, no one will be rule breaking, there’s no cost to enforce, and the rest of the year, the handful of people who want to trail run or hike or mtn bike in the dark can do so.
