Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. I have just read Alan Cooper's letter to you dated March 16, 2021. I couldn't agree more with his assertions and urge you to give it your utmost attention. Despite recent serious worldwide catastrophic environmental events and your stated policy of sensitivity to the planet and its inhabitants (not just humans) I see the direction of citywide policies in contravention of wise stewardship of our natural resources. With the excessive growth and recreational access to wildlife areas threats to the health and well being of the ecosystem seem to be accelerating rather than decreasing. That assessment is unconscionable in these days and times. We are becoming a concrete and asphalt jungle here, not only losing our small town charm but we are also wiping out much habitat for those critters who depend on us for their continued existence. This is not a balanced situation, it is a total rout of the natural systems that existed for millennia before us. I wonder why, when asked to approve another unwise policy or development, you can't just say 'no, that violates our sense of responsibility to the environment'. I thought you claimed to be progressives, how about acting like that? 1 Yours, Pete Evans -- If you want peace work for justice Pope Paul VI 2
