Council Members and Major,
Night Hiking-open space
I have never been in favor of having night hiking. The night hiking pilot program was continued last year during Covid without
little input of review of environmental reports. I understand why the council did this at the very beginning of our year of many
changes and trying to do your best under the circumstances. However you have had an additional year to review environmental
reports, ranger reports and reach out to various groups involved not only in biking and hiking but environment groups. In
reviewing your reports that I could find I only saw the ranger report update which states increase cost and workload for
them. Do you have the envormanetal reports you contracted for and if so can we see the reports or at least a summary of
reports? Please continued this decision to allow night hiking until these reports can be reviewed. Thank you for your time.
