Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Dear City Council of San Luis Obispo: I am writing with strong support of Section G-3: Parking Fund of the 2021-23 Financial Plan presented to you by the City of San Luis Obispo’s staff. As a resident of the north coast, I spend a lot of time in downtown San Luis Obispo. I commend city leadership for seeing our community through the pandemic and I very much look forward to better days when we can frequently shop, dine, visit cultural institutions, and be entertained again in San Luis Obispo. I am particularly supportive of the Palm/Nipomo Parking Structure and urge you to expedite those plans. Downtown simply needs more parking and that is a perfect location. One of my concerns when thinking of going downtown is always about parking. The proposed changes provide a clearly articulated path to make those activities easier for everyone and will help businesses thrive. I understand there are always objections when prices are raised but the proposed changes simply make sense. I don’t expect to go out of town and visit other communities and have free parking and I think it is reasonable to pay a fair and affordable amount to park in downtown San Luis Obispo. Respectfully submitted, Pamela Nichter, Harmony CA 1
