Dear Mayor and Council,
I am requesting that you don't reduce DEI funding for this budget cycle and in fact increase funding. The DEI Task Force
has been in effect for less than a year and the work they have done is the mere tip of the iceberg in addressing the long
standing racism, sexism and religious intolerance in the city of San Luis Obispo. The work that needs to be done requires
innovation, courage and commitment and full funding.
Please fully fund the DEI and divert the increase in police funding to the DEI.
