Tree Removal Application
Dear Tree Committee,
Thank you for taking time to consider our request. We loofward to the call this evening. To add
to our application I wanted to include this document for your consideration. We are requesting to
have two of our three palm trees removed for the following reasons:
1. We are concerned about the safety and liability related to the falling palm frons from
these trees. We have had numerous frons fall on and/or around our neighbors vehicles
and on the newly repaired roof to our house.
2. The financial burden to service these trees is greater than we can afford on a regular
basis. We have received two quotes of $1,200 to trim the three trees and they recommend
trimming them twice a year. (That could cost us as much as $12,000 over five years.)
3. We plan to re-landscape our front yard. One of the trees is located directly in front of our
front door and would block the path we hope to add to the front entrance to the house.
4. One of the trees has grown into the property line with our neighbor. We are planning to
replace the fence and would like it to be located on the accurate property line.
5. We plan to plant at least 4 or 5 trees in our back yard including multiple fruit trees. We
are happy to replace the trees from the approved list on our property.

For aesthetics I recommend to trim your palm trees twice a year. If you do not trim twice a year for aesthetics, I recommend every 10 months to
prevent liability of falling dead palm fronds
