Dear Honorable Chair Alan Bate and Committee Members -
As a resident of the Ferrini Heights neighborhood and a neighbor that is within 200 feet
of the proposed construction, I urge you to continue this item for further review.
It appears that the tree removal is premature and that the report is incomplete. In
addition to the vegetation, there are numerous birds and wildlife that are offered
protection and call that grove of trees “ home.” Cooper's hawks, monarch butterflies,
wild turkeys, crows, and hummingbirds are visible throughout the year. The creek offers
other wildlife benefits as well.
The most basic question is: “Has a comprehensive Environmental Impact Report (EIR)
been completed for this proposed development?”
