Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Dear Mayor and City Council, Congratulations on receiving the Anholm Greenway Grant funding. I am excited to see that project finally be constructed. There are many great active transportations going on in the City, but there is still a long list of projects needed to make SLO connected with low-stress active transportation alternatives. I personally am often afraid to ride my bicycle on many local routes. With the additional funding coming from the Urban Greening grant, I am hopeful that the City will take the initial funding that the grant freed up to build and engineer other parts of the Tier 1 Active Transportation network identified in the recently adopted ATP. For many years, active transportation projects have been stalled due to a lack of funding, including the Anholm Greenway, which was defunded and deferred due to Covid. That is why I am writing to ask you to support the resolution for staff to identify potential Tier 1 Active Transportation projects that can be funded with the additional unappropriated funds created by the recently received grant. These funds can help the city make up for lost time and make meaningful progress on building out the low-stress Active Transportation network by 2030. Ian Bosserman Morro Bay 1
