Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Dear Mayor and City Council, Congratulations on receiving the Anholm Greenway Grant funding. I am excited to see that project finally be constructed. There are many great active transportations going on in the City, but there is still a long list of projects needed to make SLO connected with low-stress active transportation alternatives. With the additional funding coming from the Urban Greening grant, I am hopeful that the City will take the initial funding that the grant freed up to build and engineer other parts of the Tier 1 Active Transportation network identified in the recently adopted ATP. Besides being excited about the Anholm Greenway that will allow me to more safely ride my bike to shopping off of Foothill, I am also super excited about the new bike bridge going over the railroad at Phillips Street. I live on Peach Street and will use the new bike path to Cal Poly often. I hope that the continuation of the railway bike path to the Jennifer Street Bridge is a priority as it would become our longest continuous bike path in the city allowing people to go from Cal Poly almost to the other side of the city without the danger of cars. That is why I am writing to ask you to support the resolution for staff to identify potential Tier 1 Active Transportation projects that can be funded with the additional unappropriated funds created by the recently received grant. These funds can help the city make up for lost time and make meaningful progress on building out the low-stress Active Transportation network by 2030. Yours truly, Elizabeth Cordoba 1358 Peach Street San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 1
