Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Esteemed Mayor and Council, I'm writing to encourage the City of SLO to continue to work towards meeting our established active transportation/mode share goals and hope that you will support the resolution for staff to identify potential Tier 1 Active Transportation projects that can be funded with the additional unappropriated funds created by the recently received Anholm Greenway Grant funding. Though the City's efforts in the last year have resulted in real safety improvements on a number of streets, (great work!) we're still nowhere near where we need to be to reach the Council's 2016 Vision Zero goals, which pledged to work towards zero traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries by 2030. Continuing to identify and fund active transportation projects in the City of SLO helps us meet established safety and environmental goals while improving quality of life for everyone who uses city streets. Thanks for the continued hard work of council and staff on these matters, Steve Akers San Luis Obispo resident -- 1
