F.E. Maintenance Due - Maintenance and required service intervals.
(a) Fire extinguishers shall be subjected to maintenance annually as
described in this chapter or immediately after use or when specifically
indicated by an inspection or at the time of hydrostatic test.
NO Service extinguishers that have lost their charge. Water heater room
extinguisher last serviced in 2017.
F.A. Annual Test Record Required - Testing frequency. Unless
otherwise permitted by other sections of this Code, testing shall be
performed in accordance with with the schedules in Table 14.4.5 or
more often if required by the authority having jurisdiction.
NO Provide a copy of your most recent fire alarm test report.
EL. 30"X 78" Clearance around Electrical Panel - Working space and
clearance. A working space of not less than 30 inches in width, 36
inches in depth and 78 inches in height shall be provided in front of
electrical service equipment. Where the electrical service equipment is
wider than 30 inches, the working space shall not be less than the
width of the equipment. No storage of any materials shall be located
within the designated working space.
NO Maintain clear access to main electrical panel shut off.
EL. Provide Cover Plates - Unapproved conditions. Open junction
boxes and open-wiring splices shall be prohibited. Approved covers
shall be provided for all switch and electrical outlet boxes.
NO Provide a cover for exposed wiring in guest laundry room.
S.H. Clearance b/w Combustibles & Ignition Sources - Clearance from
ignition sources. Clearance between ignition sources, such as
luminaries, heaters, flame-producing devices and combustible
materials, shall be maintained in an approved manner.
NO Clean lint off of water heaters behind laundry room.
S.H. Seismic Strapping/Maint./Repair Waterheaters - Protection from
seismic damage. Water heaters shall be anchored or strapped to
resist horizontal displacement due to earthquake motion. Strapping
shall be at points within the upper one third and lower one third of its
vertical dimensions. At the lower point, a minimum distance of 4
inches shall be maintained above the controls with the strapping.
NO Provide approved seismic strapping for water heaters.
