Additional Narrative (#1 of 1 ):
I was called out by Fire Marshal Rodger Maggio to a vegetation fire at rear of 1827 Pinecove Dr, San Luis Obispo, CA, on
November 5th, 2020 at 1401 hours. I arrived on scene at 1422 hours. Upon my arrival, the firefighters had extinguished the
vegetation fire, which was limited to a Yucca tree and nearby foliage and fencing. I first checked in with the on-scene
firefighters and called Fire Marshal Rodger Maggio for instructions on my task which was to interview the witnesses. I walked
over to talk to the head landscaper,
He reported that as his employee, , was
trimming dead branches on the Yucca tree when one fell on the ivy and lower wires which caused the above powerlines to
shake and touch creating sparks. This electrical hazard and sparks are said to have caused the fire which spread downward
into the surrounding vegetation and fencing. After collecting statement and collecting his information, I then spoke
to to collect his statement and collect his information (see full fire investigation report for details). reported
the same fire events as and I then spoke to the tenant and collected his info along with the other tenants for future
contact if needed (see full investigation report), reported that as he
checked on the landscapers, he could see the early stages of the fire and how it started in the upper branches and then
burned downwards. also provided videos taken by him and the other tenants to the Fire Department. After the
interviews I tied in with Maggio who was taking photos and investigating the fire before leaving the scene.
