Good evening honorable members of the Planning Commission:
May your return to in person meetings bring relief and satisfaction in the more realistic setting of the Chamber.
Nevertheless, Congratulations on having managed so effectively the online, live streamed format. We, residents of
Stanford Drive who participated in the May 26th meeting felt listened to, and respected when we discussed some issues
relevant to the 468 & 500 Westmont Project. The Minutes of that meeting being considered tonight do summarize the
major content of that discussion, however they fail to include any reference to 2 issues that I feel should have been
included as matters to be directed to staff for review. One of those issues is the subject of Twin Ridge Creek and its flow
and nature, and its amphibian life which could not be correctly measured at this time during the driest year to date.
There was, in fact, agreement for the City Biologist to visit the site ( his first visit ), and I believe that the minutes should
have included that agreement. Further, there was the issue of wildlife nesting conflicting with the construction calendar
which was meant to be discussed with City Staff. I would be grateful if you could consider amending the minutes to
include reference to these two issues.
Remain assured that we are aware of the Westmont project under consideration as the result of much analysis, and our
issues are meant to address only some individual aspects of the project to ensure the well being and safety of the
immediate environment and neighborhood in the spirit of a community working together.
We look forward to attending your meeting of July 28th and have been assured by the City Development Department
that notification of that meeting and any changes that might occur will be communicated in a timely fashion.
Respectfully, Genevieve Czech
