SUBJECT: RESCHEDULE CITY COUNCIL MEETING IN AUGUST 2021
RECOMMENDATION
Reschedule the Regular City Council Meeting of August 17, 2021 to August 24, 2021.
DISCUSSION
The 2021 City Council meeting schedule was approved by City Council on December 8,
2020. Subsequent to the approval, it was determined that key staff will be unavailable for
the August 17, 2021 City Council meeting. As such, staff is requesting to move the August
17, 2021 meeting to August 24, 2021.
Policy Context
The recommended action follows previously established practice for cancelling and
rescheduling.
Public Engagement
No public engagement was done for the adoption of the Council meeting schedule as it
is an administrative item, and the meeting dates are established in the Council Policies
and Procedures.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The California Environmental Quality Act does not apply to the recommended action in
this report, because the action does not constitute a “Project” under CEQA Guidelines
Sec. 15378.

There are no fiscal impacts associated with rescheduling a Council meeting as they are
already accounted for in the annual budget.
ALTERNATIVES
Council could not approve the rescheduling of the City Council meeting however that is
not recommended.
