The City will host it's first in person City Council meeting since the start of COVID-19 on July 61h. Starting with the July 6th meeting, the City will no longer use Zoom to host City Council meetings, however, there will still be options for remote viewing. On July 6th, members of the public will be able to participate in City Council meetings in person and will be able to submit public comment prior to the City Council meeting. The City will send out more communications about the transition back to in person meetings and how the public can participate in upcoming City Council meetings over the next couple weeks. 2. County of San Luis Obispo Mass Vaccine Clinics Complete Final Day. As planned, the County of San Luis Obispo's mass vaccination clinics in Arroyo Grande, Paso Robles, and San Luis Obispo completed their final day of operations June 41h. In total these sites gave more than 162,000 vaccines to more than 87,000 people. The County will continue to provide COVID-19 vaccines at no cost at regular Public Health clinics in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, and Grover Beach and at mobile clinics countywide. 3. Outdoor Dining in SLO Survey. As our community re -opens, the City is evaluating the potential of temporary activities - put into place over the past year to support local businesses - to become permanent. Residents are currently completing the survey which will help inform the discussion for City Council's study session on July 20, 2021, to discuss these measures. Summer Clean -Up Week: June 21-25, 2021!. Start planning now for Summer Clean -Up Week! San Luis Garbage Company will pick up additional items on your regularly scheduled trash and recycling day. For no extra charge, you may leave at your curbside by 6:00 am the morning of service: up to 6 extra cans (32 gallons each) or the equivalent in other containers and up to 6 tied bundles no longer than 4 feet or heavier than 50 pounds each. Big, bulky items can be picked up with a small fee and must be scheduled at least five days before your collection date by calling San Luis Garbage. The City has finalized and published our annual water quality report covering all testing performed between January 1, and December 31, 2020. The 2020 Water Quality Report shows zero violations of health regulations. 6. Pojected Santa Lucia Wind Event June 15 — June 16. After examining various weather sites, fire behavior models, and State fire reports, information indicates that Santa Barbara County should experience higher temps and winds anticipated into our DPA on Wednesday. Coupled with the low fuel moistures coming in, we expect an active week and fire season. The Fire Department has prepared in a variety of ways including training, partner agency preparation, and fuel reduction and will be able to take action as conditions dictate. Today the State has Reopened! 1. All sectors listed in the current Blueprint Activities and Business Tiers Chart are returning to usual operations and the state has ended restrictions for physical distancing, capacity limits on businesses, and the County tier system. 2. Masks are not required for fully vaccinated individuals, except in specific settings (public transit, K-12 schools, healthcare facilities, detention centers, homeless shelters, emergency shelters and cooling centers) 2. Masks are required for unvaccinated individuals in indoor public settings and businesses 3. Businesses may ask patrons to show proof of vaccination status or ask them to wear a mask 2. For City Employees 1. The City will align with the masking mandates from CalOSHA. 2. The CalOSHA Board is meeting Thursday, June 17 to align their guidance with the CDC and CDPH masking requirements. 3. The Governor intends to issue an order for CalOSHA's decision to go into effect immediately. 4. As a result, all guidance on masking should be aligned between agencies after Thursday, meaning: 1. Masks will not be required for fully vaccinated employees 2.
