As local temperatures heat up leading into the summer months, the City of San Luis Obispo Fire Department is working to prevent fire threats and asks the community to promptly report any observed smoke or fire seen in and around city open spaces or creeks. Community members can report smoke or fires observed in the City's open space and creeks by calling the 24/7 non - emergency dispatch line at (805) 781-7312. If the fire appears to be out of control, the fire department asks that individuals make a report by dialing 9-1-1. K 7/6 City Manager's Report CA Rent Assistpnce. On Monday, CA legislators extended the state's eviction ban (which was set to expire June 30) through Sept 30. CA will also cover 100% of overdue rent and utilities for low-income Californians with COVID-related economic hardship from Apr 2020 through Sept 2021 — the largest rent assistance program in the country.
