HomeMy WebLinkAbout7/19/2021 Item 2, CeballosDelgado, Adriana From: RichardC < Sent: Sunday, July 18, 2021 9:50 PM To: Advisory Bodies Subject: ARC hearing on July 19th: proposed development located at 279 Bridge Street (ARCH -0587-2020,USE-0412-2021,&AFFH-0413 2021) SLO Architectural Review Commission, I am writing to this commission to lodge my objection to the proposed development of the property identified above, located at 279 Bridge Street. I reside adjacent to the proposed development. When I purchased the property last year I was made aware that there would be a future development at this location consisting of approximately 18 units. I now understand the new owners want to build 94 units on this same property. While I appreciate the property will be used for affordable housing, something which I fully support, I also understand the inherent problems that come with building high density projects in such a relatively small area with a singular street for ingress and egress. Apart from the increased traffic, noise, and congestion that will come with building such a project, as a prosecutor from Los Angeles, I know criminal activity will significantly increase in such an area due to the high density combined with the one-way street. Accordingly I strongly urge the ARC to recognize the environmental impact such a project will have on the current community and substantially alter the proposed development reducing its size. Thank you, Richard Ceballos 261 Bridge St. San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
