✓Four new part time staff + new equipment to fill the City’s
first ever Fire Fuel Reduction crew as part of Ranger
Service, approved with 2021-23 Financial Plan (FP)
✓$20,000 approved in 2021-23 FP for ongoing open space
hazardous tree removal + $25,000 in one-time funding
for this year
✓$20,000 approved in 2021-23 FP for ongoing goat and
sheep grazing at various open space locations
✓$25,000 approved in 2021-23 FP for ongoing livestock
fencing repair and replacement
✓Active partners and participants with the SLO County
Fire Safe Council and with grant opportunities through
Cal Fire and others
