I would like to express my concern over this idea. This idea doesn't give much consideration to those who are unable to walk any distance or those with accessibility issues. A large segment of the population in SLO is seniors and the elderly who may not be able to get around easily. Closing more streets and making the distance required to walk to a location will not help those people. From personal experience I can tell you that when you have to push a person in a wheelchair the downtown area is very unfriendly. I just wanted you to know that not everyone thinks closing more streets will be beneficial to our community.
