Attached is a You Tube video on trees that should be ¨must¨ viewing for the Advisory Bodies and Council. Projects
before the PC and Tree Cttee. involve the cutting down of trees that should be spared in the name of climate change,
tree canopies, carbon sequestration, wildlife habitat, stormwater and erosion control, central role in the ecosystem,
natural source of shade in excessive heat, fire resistant, and of enduring aesthetic appeal. Enjoy learning about the inner
and underground life of the trees, and their refined system of signaling and helping the other trees to receive water and
fight disease.
Having enjoyed the video while deepening your knowledge and appreciation of trees, reflect before promoting projects
that needlessly cut down trees, especially mature ones and those native to California. Revisit those projects to promotie
incorporating the trees into the designs submitted by developers.
