Hi City Council,
My name is Kie Morgan and I currently live on Dana street. I’m writing about the recent parking by permit only installed
on our street. I live in a multi-unit complex and at this point in time we are unable to purchase parking permits for our
street due to the nature of our complex being multi-unit. This has been extremely inconvenient as we have to park half a
mile away from our home and walk, while the street parking is half empty. We are unable to have any guests or family
over to our home for this reason.
I wanted to inquire to see if there will be any upcoming discussion regarding this street permitting, and if not, how this
might make it on to the agenda. It would be extremely helpful if apartment residents could purchase parking permits for
our own neighborhood. It would also be helpful if the street allowed for two hour non-permit parking, or non-permit
parking during certain day time hours.
I am very concerned and disappointed in how the new permitting has turned out in our neighborhood. I was under the
impression the idea was to benefit residents of the neighborhood but has instead been a major inconvenience.
