SLO City Council: Pleading for SAFETY & EQUALITY of responsibility for item 7b Westmont (on
Sept. 7th).
Be FAIR to Stanford Drive: Please provide Westmont entrance/exit via Jeffrey & Cuesta
Be SAFE: Stanford Drive is too narrow (only 20' wide) and crooked (lack of visibility) to handle all
the extra vehicles for 23 homes and additional dwellings. Jeffrey & Cuesta are 24' wide.
Please make sure that each Westmont house and additional dwelling has SUFFICIENT PARKING
SPACES for at least 6 student cars per building. Already, some Stanford Drive students have to go
to Jeffrey Drive to park. Students do not use garages to park their cars - BUT do use for another
bedroom.
Students love big cars, including vans, which make it even more difficult trying to exit our
driveways. Even though most of our student renters are away right now, because of Stanford
Drive's narrow width & crooked street - a driver still has to be very cautious backing into this
crooked & narrow street.
Stanford Drive home owners take pride and care of their homes and yards - resulting in
frequent service vehicles needing a place to park. I do understand, but having my driveway
blocked is a real problem. It also means it is more dangerous from oncoming traffic.
Please consider SAFETY & provide entrance/exit availability for Westmont drivers on Jeffrey &
Cuesta.
Please provide sufficient parking for the Westmont vehicles.
Thanking you, Peggy Fabricius, 575 Stanford Drive
