Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Hello, I am a tenant at 730 High St. The backyard of 1953 Chorro St. backs up to the property where I live. I would just like to say that I agree with the “decision of the Community Development Director to deny Director’s Action application DIR-0599-2019 regarding a discretionary exception from side and rear setback standards…” I have many concerns regarding this structure. A few of the concerns I have are: This large structure is built right up against two fences. The setback is less than 18” on two sides. When Mr. Miller was constructing it, he was setting up ladders in the neighboring property as there is no access to the sides of this building from his own property. I am concerned with water runoff from this building and how it affects my residence and the neighbor at 1959 Chorro St. I am concerned with the use of this building. It appears to be a workshop. I hear engines, compressors, and other tools. I do not know what sort of fire safety there is or if fire sprinklers are installed. Because it is a large metal building so close to my residence, it is very noisy when the compressor and tools are running. Also, this building is unsightly. I have to look at it every day. It towers over the fence and is very industrial-looking. It does not match the neighborhood or the Victorian house on the property. Thank you for your time, Michael LaFreniere 1
