City Seeks Proposals for Mental Health ClinicianThe City is requesting proposals for an additional mental health clinician to serve on the City’s first Mobile Crisis Unit.Like the City’s Community Action Team (CAT), the Mobile Crisis Unit will pair a mental health clinician with City staff to provide non-emergency response and care to community members in crisis.The City will spend upwards of $300,000 this fiscal year to develop this pilot program managed by the City’s Fire Department to help achieve major city goals around homelessness. 2. 9/7 City Manager’s Report3. 2021-22 Benchmark Compensation StudyAs part of the Economic Recovery, Resiliency, and Fiscal Sustainability Major CityGoal and contractual obligations with SLOCEA. Present to Council February 2022The City’s last Benchmark Compensation studies were in FY 2007-08 and 2014-15.The SLO Compensation Philosophy is that the City is committed to providing competitive compensation as part of an overall strategy of attracting and retaining well qualified employees who exemplify our organizational values.4. COVID-19 UpdatesIn response to the Delta surge and to protect our hospital capacity, County Health Officer Dr. Penny Borenstein issued a Health Officer Order requiring masking in all indoor public places starting on September 1.Masks are required indoors and in City vehicles for all employees regardless of vaccination statusAs of September 7, 69% of regular and contract employees have completed the attestation and release form stating they are vaccinated. 2
