you do every day. This highlight of the program
each year gives you unparalleled access to what
is being proposed on your behalf!
11:00 a.m. Policing in 2020: Lessons Learned
A global pandemic, civil unrest, and movements
like ‘defund the police’ dominated the 2020
political narrative. Hear not only agency tactics
deployed in response, but also the potential
links to 2021 legislation being introduced in the
Capitol and what they mean for your agency.
12:00 p.m. Adjourn
2:00 – 5:00p.m. Lobby Action Day
As an optional event bonus, attendees are
provided the unique opportunity to impact
select public safety issues. Join your area
colleagues for 15-minute virtual Legislator
Meetings within this timeframe with your
local representative(s).

29th Annual Law Enforcement Legislative
Summit , happening virtually

Under the lens of ongoing concerns of in-person meetings,
this year’s 29th Annual Legislative Summit is going virtual!
The importance of this one day of public safety collaboration is as
necessary as ever, it will just look different. The Summit serves as the
One Day each year that California public safety’s community speaks
with a single and collaborative voice. This program serves as your rare
opportunity to join interactive discussions about legislation and policy
and work with colleagues statewide on what will be needed in 2021 to
address these recent criminal justice reforms.
