Dear ATC members,
My name is Kaitlin Anderson, and my family and I live at 938 West St. in the Anholm neighborhood of SLO. We would
like to request that Lincoln and West streets in pavement area 7 have some speed mitigations added during the 2022
resealing efforts. Lincoln, West and several side streets have families with young kids along this stretch. Unfortunately,
with wide streets and lack of stop signs we experience speeding, distracted, and negligent drivers down these streets on
a regular basis as they bypass the stop signs on Chorro Street.
My husband and I have three very sweet, and very impulsive, boys. Our sons, Oliver and Sam, are four years old, and
Ben is two years old. On West St. alone, there are 17 children under the age of 15 years old. As one can imagine, with so
many young families on one street, there are small children playing outside and running back and forth to each other's
houses on a daily basis. As a parent, I cannot stress enough how terrifying it is to see cars racing down our street.
Please consider adding speed mitigations to Lincoln and West streets in pavement area 7 during the 2022 resealing
efforts.
Sincerely,
Kaitlin Anderson
