Re: Designate 159 Broad St.’s Quercus Agrifolia as a Heritage Tree!
Dear Tree Committee Members,
In this time of acknowledged climate crisis, it is more important than ever to let people know that this city really does
value its best carbon sequesters! You have an opportunity to show that by designating the Quercus Agrifolia tree at 159
Broad St. as a Heritage Tree. It’s an awesome tree and one just has to stand in wonder at its magnificence. Many
scientists have written books on the contributions of mature trees, especially oaks, and their many biological benefits.
There is such a disconnect for so many peoople regarding our relationship and reliance on these wonders of nature -
here’s a chance where you can help change that!
Sincerely,
Peg Pinard
