Dear Members of the Tree Committee,
I am writing in support of designating the oak tree at 159 Broad St as a Heritage tree. This native oak tree benefits the
neighborhood in many ways, including providing shade, wildlife habitat and carbon sequestration. It is relatively young and
very healthy, and adds beauty to the urban environment. This native tree should provide many years of enjoyment by an
increasingly urbanized neighborhood.
Furthermore, since protection of this tree as a Heritage tree is consistent with numerous city policies, I ask that you
support this designation to protect it for years to come.
