Recommendation for Erika Stewart and Mark Buchman
San Luis Obispo City Council:
I have had the honor and pleasure of working with both Erika Stewartand Mark Buchman for
many yearsand I strongly recommend them as San Luis Obispo City Mayorand City Council
Board Member respectively.
I first met Ms. Stewart in 2003 when she became the Chief Operating Officer at United Way. I
was immediately impressed by her intelligence, organizational skills and ability to get things
done. Since that time, she has consistently demonstrated that she has the desire, ability, passion
and leadership skills to be an outstanding and unparalleled mayor for the City of San Luis
Obispo.
I first met Mr. Buchman in 2002 when we volunteered at the Christmas Dinner for the Homeless.
He has returned every year since then. Mr. Buchman consecutively works all of the volunteer
shifts and is always the first to show up and the last to leave. He handles all problems willingly
and effortlessly.Hehas consistently been an incredible resource and volunteer as he is
passionate about helping those in need.
Both Erika Stewart and Mark Buchman are highlyrespected individuals whohave both spent
their lives in service to this community. It is for these reasons that I offerErika Stewart and Mark
Buchmanthe highest recommendation.
