Subject:SLO needs a Bike Park!!

Good morning - As a resident and also a local business owner, with 3 kids…… I am writing in regards to the removal of
the Costco bike jumps.
My son is an avid biker and was over there all the time. With it being gone we are finding him looking for things to do,
which is never good for a kid. Give the kids a healthy place to go!
Also, as I understand it, there was a bike park planned for the new Righetti development along Orcutt, but that plan fell
off. Is that correct? Why?
Other communities have done this well and their parks are very well used. Bijou bike park in south Lake Tahoe for
example.
Ben Fish would be a great contact. He was involved in the designing of that park and he loves SLO.

Please prioritize our tax payer dollars for the kids with a bike park which gives them a positive place to go and lets
encourage healthy outdoor habits!
Thanks much!
