Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Please consider building a cycling jump/pump track/skills park in a more centralized, accesible and SAFE location in SLO. While the costco jumps weren't in the best location for accessibility, they were in a relatively visible and safe area near neighborhoods and an existing public trail network. A more organized cycling center is a necessity for our rapidly growing population and more importantly our growing group of kids that want to get outside and enjoy a wholesome activity that encourages physical fitness. I've heard something about a potential location near the water treatment plant and I couldn't believe it. That area is not very accessible to kids on bikes since it requires crossing multiple busy streets and it isn't in close proximity to most slo neighborhoods. Above all that area has been completely overrun with homeless encampments and all of the negative side effects that go with it. Please consider the under utilized spaces in and around laguna lake park with access by way of the new bike paths. With the construction of new housing developments across the street this couldn't be a better location. Another potential spot is the open space near the railroad safety trail and sinsheimer park.
