Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Dear Parks and Rec Commission, I would like to encourage the Parks and Rec department to prioritize adding a pump track at Laguna Lake, with Sinshimer being my second preferred location. These two parks have been identified in the recently approved Parks and Rec blueprint for 2021-2024. Both parks have lots of space and dirt to accomodate a pump track and would be in good proximity to existing trails and school routes so that kids would have a fun after school activity to do on their bike ride home. These locations are also able to be accessed via safe bike infrastructure such as the new Madonna cycle track and Railroad Safety Trail. I would like to discourage adding a track along the Bob Jones Trail segment off S. Higuera. This is a highly trafficked area that would discourage those who cannot drive to the location from participating in use. There are also little parking opportunities for those who would drive to the location. I also feel that the pump track would be such a wonderful use for SLO residents and children. Putting the pumptrack on the most highly visited area with tourists may detract from the residents potential, specifically children, having regular and safe access to the pump track. Thank you, Jeanne 1
