CALL TO ORDER; A regular meeting of the Jack House Committee was called to order on
Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 5:36 pm via Zoom by Chair Chuck Crotser.
ROLL CALL :
PRESENT: Chair Chuck Crotser , Committee Members: Dorothy Sundbye, Julie Moore,
Sharon Whitney, Vice chair Kati Settle.
ABSENT: Dorothy Sundbye, Julie Moore
STAFF: Dave Setterlund, Recreation Supervisor
PUBLIC COMMENT: At this time, people may address the Committee about items not on the
agenda. Persons wishing to speak should come forward and state their name and address.
Comments are limited to three minutes per person. Items raised at this time are generally referred
to staff and, if action by the Committee is necessary, may be scheduled for a future meeting.

CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES AND FINANCIAL REPORTS
1. Review Minutes of the Jack House Committee Meeting of January 13, 2021, and
Financial Reports and Expenditures (SETTERLUND)
ACTION: Approved and seconded motion for July Minutes.
Upon Motion by Committee Member Settle, Second by Committee Member Whitney and carried
3:0:0 to approve the financial Reports and Expenditures for May 2021.

PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION
2. Art Restoration (Setterlund)
• The City has received the estimate for the work for the project.
• Staff have created the Council Agenda Report, which was routed to Council on June
15th and later approved by the Council as a “consent item.” The donation was accepted
by the council under a donation agreement that was signed by Katchy.
• Kimberly Timbs from Patina Conservators is ready to start the restoration project,
although a timeline has yet to be determined.
• The agreement will need to be crafted for storage – in-house storage may be a
possibility.
3. Jack House Signage Replacment (Croster)
• Chair Crotser: Consulted sign makers and determined South Paw Signs was highest
quality purveyor. South Paw’s estimate for the project is $3500, installation included.
• Member Whitney: Enquired about the design concept.
• Chair Crotser: Explained the concept.
• Committee Members: Agreed to keep wording simple.
• Staff Setterlund: Reminded committee that the sign is required to meet the City Style
guide standards.
4. Jack House Opening (Croster)
• Staff Setterlund: Deferred to Docent President Toni Kincaid.
• Committee Comment:
• Public Comment: Toni Kincaid: Docent would like to focus their work on hosting
holiday tours in December.
COMMENT AND DISCUSSION
5. Agenda Forecast & Staff Updates
• Blueprint Update – Parks and Recreation Director Greg Avakian will speak on the
Blueprint at the September meeting.
• Community Services – Movies at the JH, Monday Meet-up, Jr. Giants, Friday Night
Skate, Monster Skate
• Youth Services – School year registration has begun. Summer Camp in full swing. New
Specialists and Assistant joining our team d.
• Rangers – Five full-time hires, homeless clean-up, Jr. Ranger Camp Staff preparing for
red tier programing -

ADJOURNMENT
The next Regular Meeting of the Jack House Committee is scheduled for Wednesday ,
September 8 , 2021 , at 5:30 p.m., via teleconference.
