Please stop agreeing, thus supporting, the type of changes that are eroding the very nature of the SLO city. High rise buildings both block Mountain View's and change the whole look and feel of the city. The latest push to erode the city commitment to the preservation and support of the area's wildlife is one more insult. There are not weekly reports of wildlife invasion. I note with interest that the deer population on the streets of Cambria. I'm sure there are residents who would like fewer deer, but there does not seem to be a big push to make this happen. Residents seem to understand that ridding the cohabitation would destroy much that makes the town special. It is now over two years since the decision was made to close the "Foster Freeze" (or Whatever it was. That part of local culture was its own thing that we are losing regularly. Don't just routinely allow the crowding of streets with large buildings. We should not just give in to allowing everyone to build here. Please do more community surveys vs saying yes to builders. There are things that once gone don't come back. Change always happens, but, of late, the big folk are winning the City Ok all too often. I've lived here since 1977. Change is always going to happen, but it seldom feels as though decisions are made with much concern for maintenance of style in looks and actions. Please try a little harder To say no to builders.
