Dear Active Transportation Committee,
I live in a neighborhood adjacent to Foothill Boulevard and am writing to express my support for
1) placing the Foothill corridor near the top of the Tier 1 project lists for long-term safety improvements
that include protected bike lanes and
2) use of any available funds for low-cost and quick-build projects to enhance safety infrastructure ASAP
along the Foothill corridor.
We urgently need protected bike lanes along Foothill due to a recent history of fatalities and serious
injuries and due to heavy usage by community members including neighborhood residents, Bishop's Peak
and Pacheco students, SLO High students, and Cal Poly/Cuesta students, faculty, and staff.
Thank you,
