Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. ________________________________ Dear council, Since being fiscally responsible and denying tax paying residents an option to hold a special mayoral election, I sincerely hope you continue to be fiscally responsible and forego any additional compensation benefits to city employees, including council members, at the expense of taxpayers. (Didn’t you all push a significant pay increase through prior to covid, conveniently?) Inflation and the pandemic have stretched everyone thin; government workers, who’ve worked remotely for awhile with very limited and reduced job functions, should not, at this time, receive any compensation increase. In fact, I encourage the council to instead have staff complete a full audit on all city spending to see where waste can be cut. In closing, I also encourage the city to “slo together” and find a way to “safely“ host in person council meetings. The county is doing it, the schools are doing it - there are no more excuses and as a kind reminder, you work for We the People. Sent from my iPhone 1
