Remarks:
Dispatched to above location for a gas line that had been struck by excavator. On arrival T-1 established Orcutt IC and made
contact with contractor. IC requested E3 and BC 2. Truck 1 crew evacuated two structures down wind of the incident and
sheltered in place 10 homes up wind of the area. Gas company was requested and PG&E was also requested. BC 2 and Orcutt
IC had face to face meeting. T1 Captain MacDonald kept IC position and BC 2 cleared. T1 personnel put out a hose line and
kept people our of the area. E3 was staged up hill of the incident and also had a hose line down. Tangle wood at Orcutt was
shut down. Tank Farm at Orcutt was shut down and Tangle wood at Johnson was shut down. SLOPD responded to man road
blocks. SLO streets department brought out road blocks and established the road blocks in the above areas. Gas company
arrived and dug two holes to access the gas line. The gas company crimped the lines at both locations. Once the gas was
shut off the hazard was mitigated and all access was open to residents. Scene was TOT SLO public works to continue road
closures while gas company finished work. All unites were released and Orcutt IC was terminated. No injuries were reported.
